Celebrating 25 years of growing trees for Nebraska’s Future!Nielsen Tree Farms has been happy to be growing top-quality trees at a great price since 2001. To celebrate this, we are rolling back prices for 2026 to provide an excellent value for our customers. We continue to grow many varieties of evergreens on the original farm near Winslow, Nebraska. Over the years, we have added the farm in Dodge, and currently have four fields in Lyons. In all, we have over 70 acres for production, allowing us to expand inventory and try new varieties. We are continuing to bring innovation and new ideas into the industry, and we are excited to share them with you. Our new line of container grown trees is in production and many sizes and species are available. These are grown in Root Pouch growing bags, or in RediRoot air root pruning containers. Check out the availability page to see what is ready for this season. Over the next few years, more species and sizes will be ready. These are a great option for large projects, and when you have the time to wait for the smaller trees to grow. Our purchase of Itasca Greenhouse located at Cohasset, Minnesota in 2016 has allowed us to integrate our operation from seed, cutting, and tissue culture to finished trees. The latest news from the greenhouse is more availability of larger liners that are ready to go straight to the field. We grow mainly for reforestation projects at the greenhouse, but have varieties for Christmas Tree production as well. These trees are being shipped all over the United States for both of these applications. We strive to continuously look for ways to improve what we are doing, and to stay on top of what the industry demands. Itasca Greenhouse is continuing to provide live trees for promotional purposes. Our Bag & Tag trees have been popular for Earth Day and Arbor Day celebrations, as well as for promotional giveaways that will make your business stand out. They are an excellent alternative to the can cozies and refrigerator magnets that your competitors are offering. We have many different options available for a wide range of applications.
